Series: Throne of Glass, book 5
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Narrator: Elizabeth Evans
Publication Date: September 2016
Playing Time: ~ 25.5 hours
My Rating: ★★★★★

What is the book about?
The latest Throne of Glass-novel is about Aelin's journey of becoming a queen - and not any queen, but "the Queen, who was promised." She has to raise an army from scratch to defeat the Valg. Therefor she has to make difficult decisions and finds herself lost between so many bad options.
Furthermore we get to know more about Manon's history and when she and Aelin finally cross paths... Let's just say, it will be spectacular!

What did I think of the book?
I just finished Empire of Storms and I don't know how I am supposed to wait for nearly two more years for the final book of the Throne of Glass-series! As with the previous books, I enjoyed every minute of reading/listening and I just can't describe to you, how much those books mean to me! Let's just look at the character evolution of Aelin Galathynius: from nearly broken assassin Celaena Sardothien, to the King's champion, to lover and friend, to broken assassin alone in the world without friends and family, to warrior, to the "fire-breathing bitch queen", to our beloved Aelin Galathynius, lover and friend. And then look at Sarah's writing style - I love it! I will keep these books close to my heart forever and I just want the next two NOW!
