It's been five years. Five years since the contact to Fearie was forbidden by the Clave. Five years since Emma had to hide in the Hall of Accords while her family and friends fought in the Dark War. Five years since her parents have been killed. Five years she and her parabatai Julian trained to get better at being a shadowhunter. Five years since she was an adult - because what else could you be when you have been watching over children, teaching them how to walk, how to tie their shoes and how to fight? But in those five long years there was never a moment Emma wasn't thinking about her parent's death. She never believed that they were just victims of the Dark War - there had to be more about their murders than that. And when she finally finds a lead on her parent's case things start to get complicated...

Review:
Everyone who knows me or knows about my taste in books will know that I waited so long for this book to come out - and I wasn't let down by Cassandra Clare. I loved it so much and as you may have seen I didn't finish it it one day (as I usually do with books I enjoy so much) but I took time and really enjoyed every single letter! It's just so worth it. I could write a whole book about how much and why I liked it so much but even then: you will just have to read it yourself to know exactly what I mean!
